Prologue for new life..

I've been married to a wonderful man, K for almost 4 months now and i'm happy i made the right choice. Through happiness and sorrow, we are there for each other.

Life has been joyous, tricky, overwhelmed... trust me, i've never thought i will get to feel all these emotions..

Despite all the happiness, I lost people so dear to me in a very short duration. I cracked, cried for nights, lost my words and have been in deep depression.

My grandma left us 1 month after my wedding. Last time i saw her was during my solemnization. She was sick but she insisted to came with all her might. . On one fine day, I received a call from my sister telling me she was no longer with us. My tears could not stop falling from that moment until her funeral. It is hard to accept that she left us as i've been growing up with her around for 27 years! One thing i regret most is that I postponed my visit to her after my wedding due to time constraint. Now, there are no time for me to pay her a visit anymore..

A week after the funeral, my wedding album was delivered. When i looked at my solemnization album, i could see her smiled while we took pictures together..

A few weeks later, i was pregnant. I felt my life change instantaneaously. I didnt have morning sickness, but i did feel the symptoms; nauseas, backache sudden acne rush, etc. Everybody was happy for a while until one day at my 10th weeks, I was bleeding. I know something was wrong with the baby. We went to the clinic then referred to the hospital. In between the process, i somehow felt the baby was no longer there. I had cried for whole day and night prior to the visit to the hospital as i know i wont be able to meet this little guy (i think this is what we called mother's instinct). After thorough scanning, the doctor confirmed the baby is gone.

There are 3 things i could not forget during miscarriage:
1) The contraction -  I had my contraction the night before D&C
2) The delivery - I could feel the huge clot coming out from my body
3) The freezing -  The icy cold Operation theatre

While i'm writing this blog at this very minute, i'm still in recovering mode. It was not easy, but with so many loving people around me, i know i can do it.

P/S: I shall stop posting my bride-to-be prep as i missed so much i might forget lots of things. But i will share the photos from my wedding soon..

Lots of luv,
eLLe

Pimple breakout!!

If the teenage me is the one writing this, yes, that is going to be the first thing she screams when she sees pimple right below her lips...

But the one writing this is an adult with a slight childish thinking i would say... And that's me.

As i grow older, same stuff did happen to me as to my younger self. Most of the time i'll be self-interpreted or comparing my surrrounding with my own life.. I just realized this, by the way through these scenarios:

1) Pimple breakout

The teenage me will start finding OXY cream or any other anti-pimples cream at INSTANT. She will increase the frequency of daily facial regime to ensure the pimple be gone in 2 days max.

But now, a pimple is not as bothersome as it used to be. When i saw one pimple on my face in the mirror, the first thing i would say to myself, "Owh, i've been stressing out too much". Then i started to think what actually has made me stressed out so much and trying to work things out. The pimple was left alone..

2) Watching movies

The teenage me always loved romance movie. She thought she was living in a fairy tale, waiting for her prince (or any other handsome actors she watched from a movie). She couldn't stand any action, horror, thriller kind of movies as she thought it was too harsh for reality.

These days were different. Everytime i watch a movie, i couldn't help myself trying to relate the storyline to what actually happened in my life. Even a thriller movie can somehow has the connection. Sometimes, i did got the answer to solve my difficulties from movies but most of the time i did not.

3) Decision making

This is the hardest part for me to tell the difference, but once i found it, i know it is so d*** true. The teenage me will want everything to go as what she wants. If she says 'pink', 'pink' must be the colour. If she says 'japanese', means sushi must be for dinner. If things are the other way around, even 1-month sulking is possible.

The fact that everything has to go as what she wants haven't really change. I still want things my own way but the principle changes to "I've always want something but I did not know if it is the right thing". Wanting something is not really the need for myself now. There are always considerations to be done prior to satisfying the hunger of wanting something.

These scenarios tell me that i'm no longer the spoon-fed kid. I am now in reality and i have to own my life. People around me will have to embrace the fact that I do change, physically, mentally, socially..

Note: I figured out that I actually can change my behaviour in a split second!

Lots of luv,

Hectic weekends..

My February's weekends has been very hectic.. With all wedding preparations, i feel like my time has been soooo limited and does not favor me..I've been running around from exhibitions to shops to galleries etc. It is crazy, but i'll do my best..

I'm sharing some experiences attending wedding expos in Klang Valley..

1) Pameran Pengantin 1-3 Feb SACC Shah Alam..

I was getting soooo excited going to this expo.. It was my first time thus i didnt hv any expectation except for helping me getting my checklist complete..

I secured booking for Seri Sireh Avenue on the first day of my visit and i thought that was it. Suddenly i got a call around dinner time from UrbanVibe, the organizer informing me that i've won a lucky draw!!! Without asking further details, i made a decision to come again the next day to collect my prize.

What i won?  Taraaaaaaaaaaaaa~~~~~~

A table fan!

K was very overambitious saying that we might win a honeymoon package, but i hate to say this darling, we only got a fan to bring together to our honeymoon.. hehehehe.. at least we got something aint we?

So on the 2nd day, we went into the expo again. (Takkan la nk pegi semata2 nk collect prezzies kn..) Since we have not yet finalized our OV, we decided to go for a round. I was blinded by amazing videos from multiple companies, but luckily K was there to help me analysed all the packages, materials etc (he did everything in fact.)

At last, we both mutually agreed to hire Jabbe as our OV. He was a nice guy, explained everything very well (especially to a not-so-videography-savvy me). His package is within our budget as well. As long as K understood the details, im fine with it.. hehe..

They are having another expos in March in PWTC if im not mistaken.. so B2Bs, buckle up!

2) Karnival Jom Kahwin, 15-17 February 2013, Wangsa Walk Mall.

To me, it was slightly of a smaller scale (probably just half) compared to Pameran Pengantin. The choices are okay.. some dresses are lovely, but as most of the items we had officially booked, so we did not make a detailed search..

Okay, that's the end for expos review..

Lots of luv,

Day 2 in Hong Kong: Ngong Ping

It was our second day and the weather was a bit drizzling. After having our Filet-O-Fish from the Mcdonalds, we moved on to Yau Ma Tei station and departed to Tung Chung Station for Ngong Ping Trip.

Our train stopped in a mall called City Gate Outlet (Twice huge than Johor Premium Outlet). It is famous for their branded stuff at a very  low prices. Once we stepped out of the train, we saw a signage saying 'Cable Car to Ngong Ping is currently under maintanence'. Whaaaatttttttttt? That was one of the purpose we want to go to Ngong Ping! Everybody was sooo frustrated at that point in time. So, I decided to go to the cable car terminal to get some details. The terminal was located exactly next to the outlet. Once we reached there, They told us that we can go up there by bus instead since they did not know when the cable car will be running again due to heavy mist. We quickly decided to take the bus as we do not want to waste our time shopping in a mall which we can do the same thing back in Kuala Lumpur.

Our journey to the hilltop took about 1 hour. Some of us fall asleep along the way while others admiring the view of Lantau Island.

Entrance of Ngong Ping Village (Heavy mist with visibility less than 15m)

There are lots of this kind of statue up here..

Behind the mist there was actually the world's largest outdoor Buddha bronze statue..

The world's largest wooden column.. There were 38 of them! They call this place Wisdom Path..
One of the encryption on one of the column..Its a wisdom i think..

After severe walking and climbing, our stomachs started to grumble asking for lunch.. We went to Ngong Ping Theme Village (Outside the temple area) for some food. Found Ebeneezer's Kebab, a halal chain restaurant in Hong Kong..

One of the tastiest lamb briyani in the house!

The pizza look plain, right? Wait until u pull off one slice! Cheesy-ly amazing!

Once we were done with lunch, we went out the restaurant and saw the cable car was up & running! We quickly went to the ticket counter, booked one-way trip in a crystal cabin for all 9 of us (including baby Uzzy).

The crystal cabin waiting time was not that long as it was considered as VIP cabin.. hehe.. Once we got into the cabin, we were amazed by the glass we were stepping on it. Let the pictures below tell the story..

It was forest underneath our feet!

The cable car passed through mountain tops..

Look how baby Uzzy was chilling out~ Underneath him was actually a view when we move from the forest to cross the ocean..

View from the cable car,, It was almost raining!

Some souvenirs for us to take home..

We then went down and got on the train to our next destination, Disneyland.. Stay Tuned!

Lots of luv,
eLLe

Day 1 in Hong Kong

On 28th April 2012, my friends and I went to Hong Kong for a 4 days 3 nights trip. Yeah, i know it was so late to update.. (cerita basi) as only after a month i can only manage to sit down at update this blog after a long long holiday..

We departed from KLIA on Saturday morning. I was sooooo surprised that the queueing lines for Malaysian Airlines was very loooooooooooonggg! Probably it was because it was long holiday for Malaysia due to Labor Day. I was so lucky that i've done my check-in online so i just need to queue up for bag drop.

Our flight was delayed for almost 30 minutes (i guess due to delay of previous flight). Though we were among the last passengers to board the plane, we still need to wait in for departure. Imagine those who have been lining up waaayyy earlier to get a space of overhead luggage storage. Pity them..

Anyway, we safely reached Hong Kong International Airport at around 2pm. From there, we took a shuttle to take us to our hotel which was located in Kowloon. The shuttle drove around Hong Kong City drop passengers here and there, passed by Disneyland where i got a glimpse of their magnificent castle cum hotel (if i am to go again to Disneyland, i'll definitely stay there!).

It was weekend, and again it was Hong Kong, hence traffic jams were everywhere. We reached our Hotel YWCA Anne Black Guest House after touring with the shuttle bus for almost an hour. After resting and some unpacking done, we move straight to our next location Victoria Peak.

To go to the peak, we got on a train from Yau Ma Tei station which was 15 mins walk from our  hotel. We took off at Central Station, take exit J2 and walk towards, Charter Garden where you can see the gorgeous architecture of Bank of China. We stopped by to enjoy the view and then walk along Garden Read (uphill to the peak tram terminus.
An evening view of Hong Kong buildings from Charter Garden

When we reach the terminus, the queue was d*** long!!!! at the line marking we were standing, it said 'Waiting time 45 minutes!'. We have no choice and to tired to move anywhere, so we just wait in the line. Lucky for us, the line was moving quite fast, so we reached the ticket counter in less than 20 minutes.

The Peak Lower Terminus

While waiting in the snaking line..

Our choo - choo train!

View of Hong Kong from the Peak!!! Breath-taking~

It was drizzling so we didnt stay long outside. Plus we were very hungry and we moved on trying to look for food. It was so hard to find a halal restaurant, hence we end up dining seafood at Bubba Gump..

Our just fine dinner...

After buying souvenirs from the peak, we went back down via the tram and went straight back to the hotel...

YWCA ANNE BLACK GUEST HOUSE rating (out of 5):
1) Room & Bed – 3/5 (Room and bed was decent for the price we have to pay- well, its HK~ )
2) Toilet – 4/5 (It was clean and spacey enough. Water heater ran well J )
3) Service - 3/5 (Nothing special..Just OK)
4) Overall rating – 3.3/5

Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa

I always love to pamper myself each and every free time that i had. Hence, paying a visit to spa is the best option i've ever take. Who doesn't love the princess' treatment? :p

I have been to numerous spas and most of them in Klang Valley. Found some good spas, some not so satisfactory spa, etc. I would really love to share my experiences visiting all the spas, but i guess i will share this one spa that i feel i will be coming back for several times in the future.

Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa was owned by Mustika Ratu. My mom and I has been using their product for years. I still remember tagging along my mom when she went for her spa time when i was young. Previously it was only a small salon with limited service provided. After their refurbishment in 2009, launched by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, it has now a totally different look.

The interior of the spa. Cool!

Each and every corner was designed in Balinese style..

Manicure & Foot Massage Area

Served with refreshing honey lemon tea upon arrival.

I did not take any pictures of the spa room as i was too excited to get my treatment done (hehe). What i can say is, it was lovely~

I signed up as member on that day, so i received a complimentary spa package inclusive of massage, scrub and milk bath as well as complimentary deep cleansing facial and sauna. As i brought my mom (now its my turn to treat her back), i put her into a 3.5 hours spa package. Price-wise? Not as expensive as Mandara but not that cheap. But it was worth every penny!

My treatment went well. I really felt like a royal member and my mom was so happy too. I will definitely come again especially for my bridal package~ :P

Soya Drive-Thru!

I went back to Perak last weekend for my April's melody (read previous post). As we hang out in Ipoh, i was brought for lunch in Ipoh town. I had my 'Nasi Ganja' (google it yourself, hihi) and soybean drinks (which i'm going to share here) for dessert.

The soybean shop is located at the corner of the road. I was actually at first, pissed off with those line-up cars parking right at the corner of junction. I almost started to curse, but in a few minutes time, we were already in front of the shop. It was a typical old Chinese shop located just by the busy street. A young man (the waiter) moved from car to car and took order. I was totally blur on what to order, so i ended up soybean with grass jelly which my friend ordered for me.

Funny Name!

The waiter taking order from the car window.

The drink was so refreshing! We can finish the drink in just 5 minutes. After paying the drinks, we drove off to give way to the next line-up cars. It was worth the experience!
